Hey guys! So, I will be posting content relevant to both the ladies and gentlemen; however, today, this post is especially for the ladies—we’re talking makeup! Yay! However, everyone can feel free to share with their ladies, friends, sisters, whoever you think may enjoy this little girl session.

Today, I’m sharing my favorite foundations for all occasions. Now, I’m an extremely loyal customer, when it comes to makeup brands. If I love it—the chances of me trying anything new is slim-to-none; but for you all, I’m willing to step out and explore more brands and products. But, for now, let me share with you what foundations has been working wonders for me.

When I tell you that I love, love, love Bare Minerals, I mean it! I have been using their products (particularly their foundation) for years—I’m talking four to five years. Their foundation has always done the job and done it well. Their mineral foundation has always given me the coverage I need, while keeping away any undesired oiliness (particularly in my trouble area—my T-zone), and preventing me from looking unnatural. Personally, I think ladies can be beautiful and glamorous (if that’s your thing) without being overly done, which is why I love Bare Minerals. You would really have to cake their stuff on so much to look “cakey” or completely unnatural.

Initially, my go-to has been their Loose Powder Matte Foundation SPF 15, which is particularly great for us oily skin ladies. So, can we just take a moment to talk about how weightless this stuff is? It doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing makeup. With sheer to full coverage, you can serve an everyday slay or build it up a bit and serve face all night long.

Now, another favorite of mine is their BarePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation SPF 20 (24-hour full coverage). I’ve always been leery of liquid foundation, because different brands I’ve tried in past were just too heavy for my skin—leaving me looking completely unnatural or oily. However, I am so glad I tried their liquid foundation! With its matte finish, I can wear it all day and night. Even when my skin isn’t flawless, it sure does look it!

If you plan to try these foundations out, make sure you have time to swatch them. Do not pick your foundation based on the model images, because Bare Minerals offer a wide range of colors with a lot of different yellow and red undertones, making it easy to choose the color shade for your skin color. As for application times, I found that their Loose Powder Matte Foundation SPF 15 is best applied with a brush that has tightly packed bristles—it goes on smoothly that way—I’ve been using the Velvet Luxe LBD Foundation Brush #302 from IT Cosmetics for Ulta collection. As for their BarePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation, it is better to use a sponge—I prefer a BeautyBlender Pro, which I purchased from Sephora. I hope you ladies found this information helpful and give Bare Minerals a try, if you haven’t already!

Until next time… stay beautiful, inside & out ladies.

Peace & Love,

C. Leigh
